The Fifteen Keys Boutique Hotel can be found at Via Urbana, 6 in one of the most characteristic and bohemian districts of Rome: Monti. Acknowledging the allure that reigns in the Monti neighborhood, the fifteen rooms, bar and breakfast area of the hotel offer an eclectic style referencing the past of the area in which the hotel is situated. Simplicity, elegance and sophistication define the design of both the newly custom-made furniture, as well as the choice of vintage pieces. The selections of the form and materials such as velvet or patterned fabrics used for the beds, sofas and 1950’s style armchairs create a unique atmosphere distinct to each particular environment. The bar and restaurant area is characterized by the large angular padded sofa and its beveled wall mirror increases the perceived depth of the space. The wooden bar fashioned with studs and marble countertops contrasts with the walls framed by handcrafted plaster elements as well as the exposed brick wall facing the internal patio area. The lobby is enhanced by two large iron gates with glass windows, while between the arches a travertine fireplace can be found along with an antique beveled mirror. Completing the interior is an oversized velvet sofa, two armchairs and a reception desk. The interior stairs have been covered in soft cashmere carpeting, while the stairwell has been decorated with textured finishes and paintings, accompanying the boutique’s guests throughout all four floors of the space. The fifteen individual rooms have been treated as single bedrooms, each with its own color scheme and exposed brick paneling. Rosewood and white furniture has been hand-painted while the doors, bathroom fixtures, details, appliques and photographs by varying artists all combine to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
